I am looking to upgrade my graphics card and I need to know if I have the requirements to support one of these cards in full.

Current PC:
HP Pavilion a6614f Desktop PC
Motherboard: M2N68-LA (Narra3)
Processor: Quad-Core 2000 MHz
Power Supply 300 Watt

Upgrade choices:
Galaxy GeForce GT 640 GC 1GB DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 (DDR3)

Which of these is a better pick? My power supply is the main issue however, I would like to ask which is the better card, and which is appropriate considering my wattage on my PC.

Solution
A decent card and one that shouldnt bottleneck your cpu and consume
small ammounts of power is the gtx 750 Ti.
It should work with your 300w psu.
However i'm not a psu expert, i usually just get something with a lot more wattage, just to be safe.

Someone said that the 750 ti would not be compatible with my PC due to the necessity for the use of the power pins. is that not an issue here?

The 750 ti draws all its power from the motherboard. It's also an option if you want to spend 160 dollars. You don't have to connect anything from your power supply.

The only final concern that I have about this card is that it would not support my monitor. It doesn't appear to have the required port to connect my monitor. I have a HP Pavilion w1907 LCD wide-screen flat panel monitor and with it being a rather older model, I didn't see a port where i could connect the monitor.

Hey! I own that exact same monitor. The monitor has a DVI-D and a VGA port. The 750's I looked at all have DVI-I and HDMI ports. There's plenty of cables out there you can easily use. A DVI-I to DVI-D or HDMI to DVI-D. Any of those options would work.
