After installing some new ram yesterday, I rebooted my machine to find out there is no sound. If I turn my speakers all the way up I can hear static, but thats it. I've tried installing realtek drivers, even though my speakers and headphones are supposed to be driver free, and still no avail. Windows even says the speakers are plugged in and playing (the green line moving and all) but no sound. I've double checked, and checked again, and I cannot seem to pinpoint the problem. Could it be my sound card, it's integrated in my MOBO if that's to any help. Anyways please help me figure this out!

I havent tried the actual speakers in the front slot, but I've tried the headphones, and the computer said they were working (same as the speakers). All they did was the static noise though if they were loud enough. So does that mean it's a hardware or software issue? Or it can't be determined quite yet?

Not sure. I'd go ahead and try the speakers in the front slot.
