Most people stick with Intel as they offer pretty good all around processors if you have money, but if you're going for a good gaming processor on a budget buy a hexa core amd fx 6300. I built a computer with it recently and I have no complaints. Basically what you need right now is a new motherboard, new processor, and new gpu. If you want to keep the psu you have right now just get any Am3 + motherboard, the fx 6300, and the GeForce 750ti.
This will cost around $400 so save up. Good luck

Pryo's right. BF4 requires a solid modern Quad core. Medium and even Low settings is going to be tough unless you really lower the resolution. Basically, your computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements for the game. Considering you are on such a tight budget, I'm just going to say don't buy the game. It won't run and if it does, I don't see how it would be enjoyable.

I noticed you created another thread about overclock your CPU. It won't help with BF4.

Get a new processor. Before anything. There's no point upgrading anything else as long as you're running a dual core.

I had another person ask me this for his build. I'd say you need to just save up money for a new computer. The 775 socket is discontinued and what currently exists for it is crap compared to modern parts.

You could play BF4 on your current CPU, but it wont be smooth, regardless of what GPU you have (check out youtube vids of people playing bf4 on core 2 duo), but then again some people dont care too much about it being totally smooth.

If you really want a gaming pc, then it would be better to start again with an i5 + a good GPU.

I would say you are better off with a Xbone or PS4, a $300 gaming pc will be crap.
