I just bought hp 15 n204tx laptop
Specs are-
Intel core i5 4200U
Nvidia GeForce 740M 2GB DDR3
8 gigs of ram
500gb hdd
I got battlefield 4 and its not even giving 30 fps at med settings at 1280*720 resolution.
I played mw2 and it runs perfectly at extra but it's freezing at places for a second
I was unable to play homefront 'coz of low fps
Nvidia control panel shows laptop display connected to Intel hd 4000 graphics. Also nvidia gpu is not showing up in 'dxdiag'.
I tried disabling intel graphics  but then the control panel didn't open saying nvidia gpu is not connected to any display.and also bf4 had it's fps dropped to 4-5. I just updated the nvidia drivers but no use.
I want to use gpu for my display. Also I watched videos on YouTube saying bf4 runs at more than 35 fps on med settings. I need help on this.

Solution
If you right click on the application, it should give you a menu labeled "run with graphics processor" then just select the NVIDIA GPU.
