I recently had someone switch out network cards after the first one failed. Computer works on a different network fine but when I bring it back to the office it can not find the domain at all. I unfort do not have to many specs for you guys so if general solutions are all I can get that is perfectly ok. Thanks for your time and help!

Other notes-
The old network card was the one build in to the machine and it was set to a static ip and DNS for the domain. I tried putting the same info on the new card but still nothing.

It is running windows 7.

the old network card is completely disabled and the new card is up to date.

I restarted everything possible.

This is a small office with about 10 different workstations connected to the server through ethernet.

The network status is "unidentified network no internet accsess"

Sounds like the office's network has MAC address filtering set up:
-- Each NIC/adapter has a unique MAC address
-- Routers & networks can be set up to only allow devices whose MAC addressses match an "approved" list access to the office network (no match = no access)
-- replacing the NIC/adapter in your PC means your PC now has a new MAC address, so it would no longer show up on the "approved" list.

Check with the office IT guy to verify, but I'm betting all he needs to do is add the new adapter's MAC address to his "approved" list (& remove the old address), & you'll be able to connect just fine.
