I am currently looking for the parts in my future build. I am going to use an AMD Athlon X4 750K processer with an fm2 socket, and a GIGABYTE radeon r9 270x 2gb graphics card, which uses pci-e 3.0 technolgy. I was looking at motherboards with an fm2+ socket, because i read that you acn use a fm2 cpu in a fm2+ socket motherboard..
But in the describition of the motherboard i saw this "1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 ( FM2+ processor must be installed )" Can i use the fm2 cpu and use the graphics card still?
or am i gonna go with an pci-e 2.0 slot for the video card?

Solution
Yes you can use the card in either board since it will work just as well on ver 2.0 as 3.0. The std is fully backwards compatible.
FM2+ socket is more future proof since you can upgrade to newer CPU later being the current socket.
