Alright so I’m going to put it right out on the table. I’ve never built a computer before but luckily one of my friends has some experience and said he would help. I’ve been using my macbook pro for the past few years. I’ve upgraded a few things here and there to it but just flat out sucks for gaming. I play a lot of diablo and league of legends. I would like to be able to play them seamlessly at high quality.
I would like to stay around $1000. I have a $200 gift card to best buy if there’s anything I can buy there. I’m guessing this price will exclude a keyboard, OS, and monitor.

Would appreciate the help!

The CPU is available at best buy for $250 so you could use your gift card towards that.

This would be able to play anything for the next year or 2 at ultra settings at 1080p

Alright, i’ll take a look at those. What about the OS? Could i go with windows 7 to save some money?

Yeah Windows 7 is fine. Some people have said that windows 8.1 will give you a bit better performance on some games but some people have also had trouble getting older games to run. The OS choice is all up to you (I still have windows 7)
