I thought i was missing something. I do apologize what would you recommend best i want 2x4gb sticks preferably blue. I was going to G.Skill Ripjaws but it's an extra £15 just for the different colour. Thanks for your reply also i heard about EVGA doing a step up program is this still the case.?

Good build, I basically have the exact same system just a different Mobo. I have the (2x4gb) G.Skill Ripjaws sticks and this system performs really well. The only other thing I'd reccomend thats fairly simple and cheap is to go ahead and get the Hyper 212 EVO CPU Heatsink. Makes a big difference over the AMD stock that came with my FX 8320. I provided the link below if you want to check it out.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 ($34.99 at Newegg)

Also, the only other upgrade I have on my system thats different from yours is that I have my OS on the Samsung EVO 120Gb SSD and then everything else on my HDD. The SSD makes a world of difference when it comes to overall performance and speed of functionality.

Here's my setup:
FX 8320 8 Core Processor 4.1 OC
EVGA GTX 760 GPU
8Gb Gskill DDR3 Ram
GA-970a-ud3 Mobo
600W PSU
120Gb Samsung EVO SSD
500Gb 7200rpm barracuda
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

I think think you can get whichever GTX-760 with custom cooler on it, EVGA probably makes best nVidia cards but you should really look at MSI's GTX-760 Twin Frozr version which is really good and on sale now, I use one from MSI and can tell you that it's really quiet and powerful card!

And RAM you can buy G.Skill Ares 2X4GB Blue :) Its only 3$ more expensive

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Power Supply: XFX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($109.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $177.98
