If you're using a Gigabyte board with the Realtek sound drivers how do you automatically route music to headphones when they're plugged in, because currently the notification saying you plugged in an audio device and I have to click OK in the Gigabyte program before it will reroute audio

Sound cards are only really a good idea for those who want to do some low key audio recording, otherwise for listening purposes a DAC will be the more cost effective and higher quality listening experience.

even for other recording stuff, you would still want to use a different recording interface than a sound card.

sound cards are just not that great in comparison to other technologies out there that are even more simple to use (no software with a DAC)

It doesn't pain me to do it, but it's a rather unnecessary step. The BIOS my board shipped with didn't require this. I guess it happened after the first set of updates my board received. The sound does kick some serious **** though!
