I"m using a Philips 19" HDTV, with HDMI to my computer (Radeon HD 7950 if it's important) and I'm getting over and inch of area that i can't see on every side. I can't find anything in the tV settings, is there another way to fix this?

UPDATE: I've gotten Catalyst Control Center to launch, but even after maxing the underscan, there's still too much overscan. Is there a way to make it go farther?

UPDATE 2: I fixed it by creating a custom resolution

Do you have any options to manually configure the size? like in your control center that you got from amd? I haven't had an amd video card in a while but if it is anything like nvidias you should be able to manually adjust your screen resolution through the control center. Just stay away from the windows screen resolution stuff because those settings won't help you. This video is somewhat old but I still think the controls are similar enough that you can find it useful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1k8CRKFUXJU

My problem is that due to how the overscan is, i can't open any programs that aren't on my desktop, since the windows button is now about an inch off the screen

hit the windows key and type in adjust screen and then hit enter. after that down your resolution down to something that will allow you to see the everything on your screen. after that go into the cata center and start playing around with the screen settings until you find something that looks right to you.

is your screen a widescreen? Btw are you sure your T.V is a 1080p capable t.v? I did a little research and didn't find any Philips 19'' 1080p televisions. I know for my tv its only 720p even though I do have the option to go up to 1080p I do notice that the image doesn't scale correctly if i go beyond 720p
