Worrie about Power Supply

Solution
As long as you don't OC, the wattage numbers for the CPU and GPU are maximum numbers. Most of the time they will actually require less power. However, the issue with power supplies is getting one that operates near it's most efficient range. Partially for efficiency and also for heat generated. Saving money by having a more efficient large "gold" or "platinum" supply is one reason (although many gamers aren't so concerned with a few bucks on a desktop ), but you are also dealing with heat. A power supply that runs notably cooler putting out the same 450 watts compared to another is more likely to last longer. Investing more in a higher quality PS is smart, simply because it is more likely to last 7+ years through many builds. You will probably buy 2 to 3 CPU's, GPU's and MB's in the same period!!
