Hello,

Today I shut the lid on my laptop for it to go to sleep and when I opened the lid up again i noticed that it said I had 30 mins left on a full battery. so i started up GPU-Z and it said my dedicated gpu was running on full speed. I rebooted the computer and its still using the dedicated gpu.

My laptop:

Lenovo Thinkpad S431
Intel i7 3667U
4gb ddr3
intel hd 4000 (integrated)
AMD Radeon 8670M (dedicated)
500GB HDD
Windows 7 64 Bit

The problem is that my laptop is running very hot and killing the battery because of the gpu running when it doesnt need to be. This problem just randomly started happening after I put it to sleep and woke it up again. Is there a setting I can change?

P.S.
Ive already tried going into Catalyst Control Center and changing everything to power saving including games (although no games are currently running anyways)

Thanks in advance.

Okay so i may have found the issue, I downloaded Catalyst 13.12 (the latest driver supporting amd enduro switchable graphics) and there is a switchable graphics application monitor that says "cvtres.exe" is currently running and using high performance settings however when i go to the application settings page it is not listed so i can not change it to power saving.

Does anyone know where i can locate cvtres.exe to swithc it to power saving?
