I am building a computer for the first time and am wondering if I have made the right choices to build a computer capable of fairly high end gaming

Just updated the parts list, to add a few extra things (case fan) what do you have to do about internet connection, and what good mini pcie sound cards are there because pc parts picker doesn't have any that work with the moterboard.

This would give you your adapter cards and fairly similar build to what you listed before.

I changed the ram to 1600 fro gaming and chose a higher wattage psu, also the case and mobo before were very small and thats probably why you had no sound cards available to you. With this mobo you have slots for everything you listed, although bear in mind you would need the Z87 chipset if you plan to overclock.
