Hi Guys... iv got a laptop with an i3 330m cpu.. iv got an i5 450m cpu that I can fit.. is it worth the strip down to fit it for the gains.. my laptop is a couple of years old so a good clean between the cooling fins and the fan while its apart might need doing.. oh... both cpu's are rated at 35 watt so I know the cooling is ok for it.. Ta all..

I would say go ahead cause with a laptop you need all the speed you can get. The max for the i3 is 2.13GHz while the i5 maxes out at 2.66 which is a considerable speed increase in the laptop world.

I would check with the laptop MFG first, many times the OEM mfg BIOS' limit processor upgrades (and you're going from a 3xx to a 4xx)
Better to check their web site or contact them & be safe. The same socket doesn't mean it will work.
