I have a camera running and my computer crashed while the camera was recording and this certain file is now corrupt and won't open and I REALLY need it, any ideas on how to fix it? The extension file is a .AVI by the way

Solution
You can't. There's a reason that game consoles and programs say "DONT SHUT DOWN WHILE SAVING" When the computer crashed, the file became corrupted. There may be some specialized software that could fix it, but as far as I know, it's gone. I've done screen recordings before and had the PC crash. I've lost them.
