Hey. I have had this issue for a day now. I inserted my external DVD drive to watch a movie. I rick click the drive in Windows Explorer, and Explorer freezes. I decided to boot from the DVD. After this, I got a "Reboot and select proper boot device" screen. I shut off the PC, unplugged the dvd drive, and restarted the pc. I still got the same screen. I checked the BIOS to make sure that my HDD with Windows 8 installed was first in the boot order. Sure enough, it was. I force booted from the HDD, and I get the same screen. I booted from my other option, Windows Boot Manager, with a blue UEFI ribbon. When I boot from that, it says "Preparing for Automatic Repair", and then fades to a black screen. I inserted my recovery USB. It shows an endless loading screen. I cleared the CMOS and loaded defaults. No luck. How do I fix this? I am very frustrated.
