my copy of skyrim is lagging horribly. I'm a complete novice at pc gaming and would really appreciate some help. I got told my laptop was powerful enough but it doesn't seem to be. It's running on a i3-2310M and my cpu is at 2.10GHz but that's all I can get a handle on.

Please help

Whoever told you it could wasn't trying to sell you that laptop were they?

An i5 using hd 3000 can run skyrim at 10-20fps.

An i3 would be even worse.

Maybe look up some speedup mods see if it can make it bearable for you.

Like the 4gb memory mod, and I think there is a mod specifically for such systems....
