When ever I go on skype my friends say they hear a popping noise example: http://picosong.com/eN3s/
Please help
EDIT:Mic is blue snowball

Solution
Yes tried it there and in Audacity (though it seems to be linked to the Windows setting as it always matches if I change one). Sorry, I should add that mine is the Snowball Ice so it doesn't have its own gain knob, I was referring to the volume in Windows. Are there any other settings that might help that you can think of?

Did you ever find a fix for this? I have the same trouble and everything I've read seems to suggest its mouth noise. I cant edit that damn stuff out after a recording effectively and am thinking of just finding a cheaper less sensitive microphone.

As I previously mentioned, A Pop filter should be able to fix this.
Also, the gain may be a little high.

Thanks but its not the pop filter, I have a good one. Its not pops from p's and b's etc, its more like tiny tongue and mouth clicks - saliva noises. I've tried it with less gain too but it still picks them up. I don't think its a fault with the mic per se, just a feature that its incredibly sensitive and picks up everything. So far I haven't been able to get round the issue fully, either by working on my mic technique, editing or anything else. Quite a few folks on other forums have suggested that a dynamic mic would be less sensitive and pick up less of this noise, but I want to see if I can get more success with this before changing.

I fixed it a while ago, it was either an old speaker or my router which has a weird frequency of like 5 ghz, so I just moved the mic to the other side of the desk. Also if you do have something you think is interfering unplug it, don't just turn it off.
