Currently I am running Windows 7 on the SDD that way it runs quicker. However I want to use my HDD for gaming since it has 3TB. In disk manager windows says that it is unallocated. How do I use them at the same time or at least get to use the HDD. Thank you for your help!

Go to disk manager. -type disk manager in start.
And create a new partition from the unallocated space in the second drive.

Yup that's fine. The terms volume and partition are often used interchangeably.
