I currently have a Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 5900 RPM. My question is if I get a second HDD such as the Seagate Barracuda 2TB at 7200 and used that to store my games will it increase performance in games?

It will reduce loading times not actual FPS!

Will it effect any performance for games that load textures and objects in as you play rather than pre-load them using a tradition loading screen? For example open world games.

Would that translate into any sort of FPS boost/gain even if minuscule? I am sorry if I am asking very dumb questions.

No actual FPS but you will be quicker into a battle in a first person shooter.
