I recently had a full functional windows 7 installed on my main hard drive. I wanted to install Kali Linux on it as well, so I put the iso file on an 8gb usb stick and booted it up. While installing Kali, the install itself failed, so i tried the grub install and the option below that. Both failed. I was left with no other option and i chose to abandon the install. After doing so, I restarted my computer up and all I currently see is the blinking cursor on a black screen. I've been through the BiOS screen and reset to default and switched around the priority on which it loads... Nothing works. I have a disc set for Mac OS X, but the computer isn't responding to that either.

Solution
reset the bios back to factory and reboot.
Failing that - f10 or f11 usually brings up the restore partition. I trust you have backups of important files already.
