I have just installed the h100i successfully in my build, the temps are fine, right now there are averaging 15C.

The problem I have is that when I turn on my pc, the fans speeds at the maxium rpm and its extremely noisy

Why do they do that and whats fix for it?

Solution
When you first start the computer the fans will spin up to maximum until the motherboard takes over and adjusts them based on the CPU temperature. Does the fan speed drop after POST and then possibly some more once in Windows?

Are you using 4 pin fans connected to the CPU fan headers? Also make sure in BIOS to enable CPU fan control. In my computer I am using 2 pin connectors and disabled CPU fan control and all my fans spin up to full speed until OS loads to lock screen.

Yeah the fan speed does drop after post and it sounds like it remains the same one in windows.
I installed the h100i on my mates build and it doesnt do that, the fans speed are low through the boot

we have different mobos/build

My fans are hooked up to the liquid cooler, i didnt connect them to the motherboard

It's normal for your fans to run at maximum until after POST. My fans kick up to high when I first power on, even my graphics card. Once the POST has completed, the motherboard controls the fans and they drop. Same goes for the graphics card.

I have a Cooler Master Eisberg 240L and I have the fans connected to CPU and CPU_OPT (2 fans) so my motherboard controls the fans on the radiator.

Just to update you guys. I fixed this "issue".
I replaced the stock sp120l fans that come with the cooler with the SP120-quite editions and I no longer get the noisy boot ups.

What you mentioned was technically correct that the mother board will normally take over after post!
