Hey all,

I just purchased a brand new R9 270 and got it installed without issue. However, about 2-3 hours into use, I got a BSOD with code 0xa000001.

From what I can tell/have found on google, this is usually indicative of driver issues, but I have tried several different drivers with no change.

I should also mention that this card was bought for the purpose of Cryptomining, and it does this perfectly fine for days on end.
The only time it gets a BSOD is when I am actively using the computer and the monitors are awake.

What I have tried:
* Restarting
* updating to beta drivers
* completely removing all ATI/AMD drivers and resintalling stable drivers

current set up:
Win8.1
MSI R9 270 (on 13.251-131206a-166389C-ATI driver)
750W corsair PSU
3 monitors (2 DVI and one Displayport->DVI through active converter)

edit: also, I noticed my fans seemed to be acting funny when I woke my computer (first time I noticed) and I found

When you say you have completely removed all AMD drivers have you run a driver cleaner in Safe Mode following the uninstall of the drivers. If not, I suggest downloading Display Driver Uninstaller from Guru3D. Uninstall the drivers normally then reboot into Safe Mode, run DDU and removed the drivers. Reboot normally and install the latest drivers (either stable WHQL or Beta).

unfortunately, no. I ended up finding a 270x for cheaper than what I paid for the 270, so I just returned it.
I seem to recall one driver update a couple months back seem to help a bit, (but not fix entirely), but I can't remember for sure. Sorry I can't be more help.
