Hi All. I am facing this slow start-up issue while booting the Win 7. The delay is caused after the Windows logo is displayed and then a blank black screen is shown for almost 20 to 25 seconds, then the login screen is displayed. That means the delay is caused before the login screen is displayed. Can anyone advise me on this???

Solution
First run the command CHKDSK /f/r from CMD as administrator, if it fails somehow then right-click the C: drive go to Properties then click the Tools tab then Error-checking/check now, select both the options, restart PC, it will take some time to check. See what happens !

Else you can repair-install the OS or can do a clean-install of OS with a bootable media(DVD/USB). Good luck.
