So, I've been having issues with my FX 8350 CPU overheating while rendering 1080P videos on Sony Vegas Pro 12, its apparent that my Corsair H60 Liquid cooler just isn't enough to do the trick, so I was wondering, what would be the best solution for getting CPU temp back in control?

currently my CPU is idling at around 44C, but while rendering, it can go as high as 68C and then lock up...

I've been keeping my eye on http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103189 , but just not sure if its the right way to go or not..

any help will be greatly appreciated!

yes, I applied thermal paste, although I'm questioning whether or not I should reapply again (its been some time now)

well in any case, today I purchased 2 case fans, and applied brand new thermal paste in a slightly more experimental way (the paste i had prior wasn't looking too good when I removed the liquid cooler from the CPU)

So previously I had just one bead of paste down the center (which was one way that was suggested), this time I placed one bead down the center, and 4 smaller beads half way to the edges on all 4 corners to make sure thermal paste reaches all 4 sides, seems to have done the trick

also I installed a fan to my case door, and a second fan to the H60, and now got it idling at 30C, and Rendering at around the 38...

glad I didn't need another heat sink or liquid cooling solution after all :D
