I'm a bit of a noob on pc building and parts as this is my first build (i did try another one but that didn't go well) and i need some help on thing like will this all fit? Will it be decent? I'm fine on building it and i know what components are good to a degree but not really sure otherwise

Solution

What kind of performance could i get from this over my original build?

Haswell chip is more efficient and faster up to 15% (Depends on program) also it better to get current gen. than previous also Haswell is cheaper in your stores, RAM also faster and newer generally you'll get up to 15% performance increase with this build over your build! :)
The only thing that I downgraded is HDD, Blue is good drive and worth the money, Black is fine but it's price too high!
If you want performance get WD Blue 1TB and 840 EVO SSD!

The RAM and CPU aren't bottlenecking anything in either build. At most, he'll see vestigial returns in performance.

No reason, actually. I was just pointing out the difference in performance would be minor.
Your CPU suggestion actually costs less as well.

I'm probably gonna get the WD blue and 840 EVO SSD but with the ssd i'm seeing mSATA ssd and just ssd whats the difference

The difference is only SSD's size! mSATA made for laptops so there is no performance difference between 2.5inch SSD and mSATA SSD!

Edit: Not all motherboards have mSATA slot!
