First of all, i'm tossing up between the two to build a cheap gaming PC for around 800-850 dollars. Is it worth going for the ti for an Extra 50-40 bucks?

I'm intending to play ArmA 3 mainly with this, and i picked it because ArmA 3 uses PhysX by Nvidia and other stuff. Im also using an AMD Cpu, will this affect anything?

Cheers.

I just ordered my EVGA GTX 750 Ti Superclocked Tuesday an it should be in later on today. Go on youtube there are a few videos of it's benchmarks. Paul from newegg does one on all the GTX 750's from EVGA

Well, thanks for the advice, but i did some maths and figured this out.

Between the cheapest GTX 750 and 750Ti Cards on pccasegear.com (Australian PC parts site) the Palit GTX 750 for 135 dollars comes with 512 Shaders/Cores, while the Gainward GTX 750Ti for 179 dollars comes with 640 shaders/cores. Keeping in mind that these were the CHEAPEST in their type (Ti or non Ti 750's), The palit GTX 750 gets 3.7925 Cores per 1 Dollar, while the Gainward GTX 750Ti gets 3.574 Cores per 1 Dollar.

So is it really worth getting the Ti Version if im on budget? ( http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1617&products_id=26960 ) ( http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1618&products_id=26962 )

Yes, per core cost doesnt matter...Its all in the card that counts, for example, a person might not accept 99 dollars to sell you something, but if you'd offered 100 dollars it would have, that just shows that it does really matter in that case, go with the Ti, thank us later :D

If you wanna play this higher demand game, you would probably need a 750 ti to run it better. One misconception that you dont wanna make is to think that 7 or 10 frames doesn't really make a big difference. The difference between 40-50 fps is crucial in a game. As for the new technologies, I'm pretty sure the 750 ti is a newer which means it will get more updates and such for these techs like PhysX and ShadowPlay :)

Well I've had my EVGA GTX 750ti Sc for several days now. I have to say it's a nice card for the noob computer gamers like myself. It gets the job done when it comes to the newest/latest games. Now I'm itching to go on an build my own computer with even better graphics an stuff lol

My number one advice is the purchase the most card you can afford. This will help you to avoid buyer's remorse and wishing that you had just squeezed out a little more on your budget.

As you can see, however, its hard to say that the extra money will make that much of a difference in terms of playability or higher image quality. In general, the stock 750 Ti performs about 13% better than an overclocked 750. That sounds pretty good, but here is how it translates to actual games at a 1080 resolution:
Assassin's Creed IV: 3 FPS
Batman: Arkham: 5 FPS
BF3: 4 FPS
BF4: 4 FPS
Bioshock: 8 FPS
CoD: 9 FPS
Crysis 3: 2 FPS
Diablo III: 12 FPS
Far Cry 3: 2 FPS
Grid 2: 6 FPS
Metro LL: 4 FPS
Splinter Cell: 3 FPS
Tomb Raider: 2 FPS
WoW: 5 FPS

Besides the performance advantage, the 750 Ti has 2GB of VRAM memory, while the 750 only has 1 GB. While this may not have a major effect on your performance at normal resolutions, it might come into play at some point. It really depends on what resolution you'll be using and whether you plan to play the latest most-demanding games.

If it were me, I would plan to eat some meals at home and use the extra money from eating out for the 750 Ti.

I have no problem playing at 1080p with my EVGA GTX 750Ti Sc an yes I use high - Ultra settings and I can even use AA on some games an still get smooth gameplay. Is it 60 or well above? No not really, not on the latest games. Bump a thing down or two an its easily around the 60 fps mark. So if you are definitely wanting to get a GTX 750 I would highly recommend to go ahead and get the ti superclocked or the FTW.
