A brand new computer and this happens when turning on,

Turn on then off then on again?

After around 5-10mins my computer hangs and have to push the power button again.

I touched the southbridge and its really hot, the northbridge is hot but reasonable(after 5-10mins of on time!)

My specs:
Processor Intel Core i5 4570
Motherboard Gigabyte B85M D3H
Memory Kingston HyperX Blu 4gb
Hard Drive Toshiba 500GB SATA HDD
Optical Disk Drive Lite-On DRW-24 SATA
Power Supply Huntkey Jumper 550w
Chassis Deep Cool Tesseract
Windows 8.1 64bit

The huntkey jumper which has a very good review on hardware secrets has a 4+4 supplemental pins, so I just placed both on my 8pin motherboard. It also has a 20+4 pin and placed both on my 24pin mobo. That might help...

I just took a pic of it on my phone because I cant post on this forum without my computer hanging.

Make sure you have followed the manual on how to install all power cables and wires.

Have you installed the CPU cooler?

If for example the CPU gets too HOT it will first attempt to throttle down to decrease heat. That will impact performance and make things slow.

You said the southbridge is HOT, so that might be the problem.

You said you touched the northbridge. But the northbridge in modern Intel CPU's is integrated into the CPU. That means you touched the CPU. But it's not possible to touch the CPU when the CPU fan is installed? Or what you touched was not the northbridge.
