Hi,
When I leave the computer at idle for a few minutes, I observe %100 percent one cpu core usage. I didn't have the same issue on Vista and tired to turn off Windows defender ( since I guess it starts scanning the system when it is at idle ). Task manager doesn't give any clue as to the problem causing program. But, whatever it is, it starts right after clean format... Any ideas, experiences are appreciated. Thanks

Open Task Manager, Processes tab and sort by CPU use, will tell you what is using it. You say it starts even after a clean format, is it IMMEDIATELY after a clean setup after you only install the drivers, or after you copy your files over and maybe install a few programs?

Sorting by CPU use really helped me see the task ( it stops the second you touch the computer, so I wasn't able to catch it ). It was "mscorsvw.exe". And, here I found a very extensive coverage that I think will be the solution. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/davidnotario/archive/2005/04/27...

Thanks and have a good day.
