I want to buy a video card for my Gateway GT5034.It has a AMD Athlon 64x2 dual-core processor 4200+ 2.2 GB 2000 MHZ front side bus L2 cache 512KB x 2 4GB of memory, the add-in card slots are one PCI-Express x16,One PCI-E X1 , Two PCI Conventional. I just would like to know what the best or mid price video card would work in this machine, as I am a novice and there is so many kinds of video cards on the market. My PSU is 300watt's.I am most grateful for any help you may give. Thank you

HD7750, R7 250 or GTX750 are your top performing options. The CPU will though bottleneck them so maybe R7 240.

Will they bottleneck even though I am not using the card for games?

Not really but if you are not gaming the R7 240 will suit just as well.

The R7 240 has a 450W PSU, my Gateway has only a 300W PSU, would this still work?

Even though it says "minimum of 18AMPS on a 12v rail?", I think my PSU is a +12v /15A rail? The reason I ask all these question as I want to make sure as I don't have a lot of $$$$$$ and I appreciate all your information.
