Hi!

I've had issues since day 1 with my computer. First it didn't boot, fixed it and now I've had a problem with the GPU for the past 1,3 weeks.

My parts:
-Gigabyte GA-Z87-DS3H UEFI DualBIOS
-Intel Core i7-4770K (stock cooler) 3.5GHz
-Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl
-Seagate Barracuda 1TB
-Corsair GS Force Series 128GB SSD
-XFX Radeon R9 280x
-Silver Power 650W PSU (tested 2 of the same type)

I'm getting this (without any particular order):
-BSOD (see image)
-Freezes
-Back screen
-No signal
-Bad visuals in 2D
-Screendriver stops responding and restores

Error codes in event viewer:
-4101: screendriver amdkmdap stoped working and has been restored
-1002: app error
-41:kernel error

I'm sure it's not the RAM as I've first ran 2 checks with Memtest86, then Windows memory diagnosis then 27 hours with 13 passes of Memtest86+, no errors at all.

The computer works flawless without the GPU.

I've tried this:
-Driver sweeper
-Uninstall with device manager
-A friend's identical PSU
-Update BIOS with @BIOS from Gigabyte

MSI Kombustor worked displaying 3D animations though. Please also check that the 650W PSU is enough.

I really need to sort this out, it's getting on my nerves!

Thanks A LOT for help folks! I REALLY need it:)

Best Regards,
Erik

Sounds like hardware-related errors to me, given that drivers clean install did nothing. As last resort, I would try the drivers package that came with the card, before deciding to replace the card (which might be the definitive solution).

I've already tried the drivers that came with the gpu, and I've changed the GPU once before. This is the 2nd one

Since the GPU can create 3D spheres and advanced 3D animations, but not simple 2D stuff - could it be a 2D setting problem?
