APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: soon

BUDGET RANGE: $150 max. Closer to $100 if possible. Will take small hit in performance for decent savings.

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: I mostly play SWTOR, Skyrim, and 1701. Would love to play them on highest graphics settings as I currently am. Would also need to be able to play any newer games on a decent graphics setting (don't need highest end settings or cards for newer games).

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 and CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: AMD Phenom II x4 955, Gigabyte AMD MA790XT, 8GB DDR3 1600 SDRAM

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg

PARTS PREFERENCES: EVGA or other manufacturer that is equally reliable

OVERCLOCKING: Won't overclock

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Nope, not enough juice.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080 on a 24" widescreen

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Must run 3 games mentioned smoothly and leave some room for newer games coming out. Using EVGA Precision X for GPU monitoring and control, set to automatic to adjust fan speed for cooling level needs.

Insane how far cards have come. My 280 eats max of 236 W. Hell, I could SLI with my current PS if I had to.

As for gaming, I'm proud to say I've played skyrim on medium settings with nothing but dual core and GT 210 :D *feeling like a beggar-boss* Well, as everyone may have already pointed out Gtx 750ti is the best. But if you really need it near to 100$ consider R7-250. I think that's a viable choice.

750ti all the way but if you want something cheaper think about R7 260X

I noticed on my 280 that the memory interface width is 512 and the bandwidth is 141 GB/s where as the 751 Ti is 128 (which should be comparable to 256 on a DDR3) and the bandwidth is 86. With those numbers, will my performance actually decrease? Confused on the differences I guess.

No! performance won't decrease!
