Hey guys!
I will buy a Zalman CNPS8900 Quiet and want to mount it on an ASRock N68-VS3 FX motherboard, i don't think it will block a memory slot, did some measures, but in case it block the memory slot close to the CPU, can i put my single 8GB RAM to the 2. slot? how much will it affect its performance? and if you would take a look at the MOBO and the cooler, could you tell me if it touches any capacitor or connector there?
link to the MB : http://www.asrock.com/mb/nvidia/n68-vs3%20fx/
link to the cooler http://www.zalman.com/global/product/Product_Read.php?Idx=468

Thanks, Peter.

There is very little difference in which ram slot you put your memory in for those motherboards. I doubt that cooler is large enough that it will block anything. Generally those low profile aftermarket heat sinks are not very tall or wide. Like look at this image of a 110mm fan on a motherboard just like yours http://www.quietpc.com/images/products/7700mobocooling.jpg as you can see it is hardly taking up any room on the motherboard. You can also see all of the ram slots are not being blocked by the cooler

Ye, thats how i planned as well, but i don't really see if that is a micro ATX or not, according to my measures the cooler may get above the memory, but i guess it can fit below it.
