So I've got MSI Z77A-G45 Gaming motherboard in a CM storm scout case. Soon I'm going to buy a GTX 780 and put it in my case.
My case says it will support a 10.5 inch GPU and the 780 is 10 inches. If the card doesn't fit, it looks like if I can put the GPU in the PCI-E slot under the first slot, that way I can take out the hard drive bay and that will give me like 5 extra inches. However, I was told that the first PCI-E slot is the domain slot and if you put a GPU in the lower slots, it will run slower. Is this true?
