Hi, i am about to buy a MSI R9 270X 2GB Gaming Graphics Card and it state that i need a minimum of 500W Power Supply.. I have a 500w PSU and my specs are as below :-

Asrock B85 Killer
4GBx2 Kingston HyperX RAM
500GB WD HDD
i3 4130 3.4ghz
DVD RW / DVD ROM
Sapphire HD6670 1GB

Do you think if i get the MSI does my rig will be stable with 500W of Power Supply?

Solution

yes i am sure you will be alright with normal loads just check the sticker once, see if +12V column has the value more than 17A? As i haven't heard about the brand you mentioned, i can't say about it's build quality.

Thank you guys.. So for this month do you think the Power supply could hold the graphics card for its factory clock? I would get a new power supply next month..

just don't do heavy load work for the time being until you get better psu. You will run ok till then :)
