How cheap of a Graphics card would help?

I have a MSI A78M-E35 motherboard with AMD A8-5600K Trinity cpu, 4gb ram and I'm wanting to sell it. Its for low end gaming and I'm wondering if adding a graphics card would boost it to a more medium end? The mb has built it gpu right now.

I have a very similar setup (same cpu, different motherboard). The GTX 750ti is a great choice at the moment, however the hd6670 is still a valid choice if you are willing to play at medium for most modern games at 1080p. I don't really use dual graphics (onboard and 6670) because there isn't really a performance increase. Depending on your budget, i'd recommend the 750ti or r7 250/r9 260(x)
