Hello,

I have a asrock fatal1ty board but I hate the UEFI bios on in :( . So this might be a stupid question but can I flash the gigabyte UEFI on it? I really like how it feels and works :) . If yes then how to do it? If no then can I buy a chip and solder it on the board (5 years of soldering experience) And if I can't is there any modded UEFI thing for asrock boards?
Thanks for reading

bios chips from vendor have code that we cant see for there hardware. swapping chips may cause issues with your mb.
I would post on msi web page and ask if they have any efi bios tools that you can edit your bios file with.
most will help you if you let them know you dont like there efi layout.
before you edit back up the bios and check to see if your mb bios is soilder on or can be pulled.

The BIOS is not just a GUI to change settings on the motherboard, it essentially ties together all of the other systems and chips on the motherboard. Unless the other manufacturer used the exact same chips for every component on the board and at the exact same hardware addresses (extrememly unlikely) you are guaranteed to have problems (most likely the system not even post). That being said, any tool you obtain from either Gigabyte or ASRock will tell you the BIOS file you downloaded is invalid for your motherboard.

Your best bet would be finding a modified BIOS specifically for that ASRock motherboard. Flashing to anything other than a version supplied by ASRock will more than likely void your warrenty, so if you do screw something up, then you are probably going to be stuck paying for repairs or purchasing a new board... but hey, at least then you could buy the Gigabyte board instead :)

The problem is that i just had to choose Gigabyte less features more quality Or asrock Way more features vs bad bios
But i could choose between the Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 and the Asrock fatal1ty 990fx killer soo do you think i have done it good? I can still return it if i want to.
