I just completed my gaming pc build last night. I know all the parts are compatible because I copied an exact build I found online. Once I got everything hooked up and connected my monitor I powered up and did not receive any beep or post. The speaker gave no indication of any kind and the bios screen or motherboard spash screen never displayed. The motherboard lights are on, the GPU lights are on, hard disks are spinning, cd drive works, front panel power button works. Everything seems to be working correctly and wired right but I am receiving no post. Any ideas?

look on the mb check to see if there any red fault led on. most times people forget the 4/8 pin cpu power plug. if it not the power plug make sure the mb not grounding out to the case or the io shield. new mb dont beep unless the case speaker is connected now. with newer intel mb and gpu some times the motherboard video is the main video on first power up. try putting the video cable on the mb video port. one last issue is a new mb with an old bios. some older bios wont post missing the cpu code or bug fixes. check the mb see if the bios at a rev that post your cpu. if it has an older bios try removing the gpu and one ram stick see if the onboard video will post.

Not being there to see what you have I can only say to recheck all the power connections and re-seat the ram and video card. It would also be helpful to list the components that you have (brand & model).
Make sure that you have the CPU power connector plugged in next to the CPU socket. Make sure not to rush through the recheck so you don't miss something.
