Hello everyone! First post here at tom's hardware.

I'll start with the PSU first. Right now, i have an OCZ StealthxStream 600W and its around 6 or 7 years old. The reason why i want to change it its because it's been a lot of time since i upgraded my PSU and it handled a lot of power surges and outages (electricity in my country sucks) and as i plan to keep upgrading my computer in the future, i want a PSU that is ready for it.

My PC:
Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z77-D3H
Processor: Intel Core i5 3570K @4.2Ghz
Ram: Kingston HyperX Genesis 2x4GB 1600Mhz DDR3
Video Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX660Ti Zotac
Power Supply: OCZ Stealth X Stream 600W
Hard Drive: 1TB SATA3 W.D

There arent a lot of options in my country as the customs are closed, so stuff from other countries is beggining to not exist anymore. So this is the PSU i have in mind, and i would like to know if its good and it will hold the new components i might buy in the future.

PSU: Cooler Master I700 (700W).
PSU: Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus (700W).
PSU: TOPOWER TOP-700W ULTIMATE (700W).

Which one is the best? and would it be enough for what i already said?

-------------------------------------------------------------

And about the heatsink, i have a Hyper 212+ right now, it barely fits in my computer and its quite old too (i bought it when it was released more or less). As i said before, there arent a lot of options to buy, so i would like to know if this heatsink is better than the one i already have.

Heatsink: Cooler Master Geminii S524

---------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks in advance for your answers!

If I were you, I would upgrade to a VERY high quality power supply since you say you want to continually upgrade your PC. It just so happens that the best power supplies are made by Seasonic, XFX (really Seasonic), and PC Power and Cooling.

I would buy this PSU: http://www.ncixus.com/products/?usaffiliateid=100003150...

As for the heatsink, if you wanted to upgrade your heatsink, I wouldn't buy the one that you've listed. A Hyper 212 should outperform that heatsink that you listed. A Noctua heatsink would prrobably be the next best upgrade if you didn't want to do aircooling, or a Be Quiet! heatsink. However, you say the 212 evo barely fits, so you have to change cases if you wanted to use a Noctua or Be Quiet! cooler that performs better than the 212 evo, because they are much bigger.

Those brands you listed for PSU's do not exist here sadly. And the problem is, i cant buy it via internet on another country, because it would remain in the customs of my country and i would have to wait a year or two to let the PSU through.

About the heatsink, i do not want to go on water cooling, i would like to remain on air cooling, sadly i wasnt able to find a new hyper 212 plus, they are out of stock everywhere i asked, but they did have the geminii i wrote on the OP, if it is worse than the one i have already, ill look for others then.

#scout_03, Thanks for the reply! i believe there are some places where they sell the artic silver thermal paste, but im not sure if that is the problem, i changed my processor 1 year ago and i replaced the paste in that moment (although it wasnt artic silver). I'll keep that in mind.

EDIT: After digging some sites, i found the following at quite a good price, would they be a better choice?

PSU: XFX PRO750W Core Edition 750w
PSU: XFX PRO850W XXX Semi Modular 850w

(The first one is a lot cheaper, if its good enough, i would prefer that one).

if you could get artic cooling mx2 or mx4 that will be great they are not from the same maker as arctic silver .

It really depends on your preference. If you want more wattage, then grab the 850w one. However, I'd get the 850w because it has more room for expansion, and that can never hurt.

Thanks, i think ill get the 750W if its a good enough PSU, i dont think ill ever need that much energy!
