Computer upgrade.
Hello guys!
Hoping there is somekind of tech genoius here, who can help me here BigGrin
Atm I got a gamer pc, and I wanna upgrade it.
I got Antec 900 two v3, Amd Readon HD 7850, Intel quad core 2.83GHz (Q9550), 4 GB kingston ram, 8 GB Crosair vengence, Asus p5p43td Mobo And a 500 W PSU.

I'm thinking about buying
Asus M5A99X EVO r2.0 PRO
AMD FX-6300 Black - AM3+

Any issues with that? or do I need a new PSU?

Solution

If it powers his current Q9550 rig it will power the new rig regardless of CPU having still the same GPU.
Looks like a good upgrade.

I don't know why you have RAM from Corsair and Kingston at the same time, that's not normally considered a good idea.
Other than that, we can't tell you if your PSU is good enough because 500w PSUs deliver very different amounts of power. Some perform like 250w PSUs, and some perform like 600w PSUs. We'll need the model of the PSU.

For about $15 more, you could get a much better i5 4440 and an Asrock B85 pro4.

That's not certain. The FX-8320 takes more power than the Q9550, even when the FX-8320 isn't overclocked.
