TL;DR- The build totally works, maybe a beefier power supply in the future?

A small hint that I think other users will repeat. Never start with Crossfire/SLi--

I say this simply because one powerful card offers you more expandability (cheaper upgrade in the future) and a more steady experience for the here-and-now. Dual GPU performance relies heavily on driver support, my thought is "Why not jump on the wagon when it has all it's wheels?"

Perhaps go with an R9 290? Maybe a GTX 770?
Also, in terms of gaming, There is quite a cost-jump to the 4770K from the 4670K for considerably less performance increase.

Yeah slow down on the graphic card get to know how they work how temp they give and what they are capable of. Then go with SLI or crossfire. No windows 8 is good you will like it and the casing is good. PCPartPicker site automatically give compatible things so that you don't need to worry. All is good. Cheers .

Do you actually need an i7? I think a i5 4670k will be sufficient for your needs
I doubt you need 16GM of RAM. 8GB will suffice. A R9 280X is probably enough for your needs when you game. A R9 270X if you want to save even more money. Since it mainly a media pc, i doubt you need these components in your list.
If you are just using one graphic card. Change the power supply to a XFX XTR 650. It is modular and sufficient for a single gpu setup.

I want to keep this pc for a while and I know I will probably be upgrading components as I find better parts for decent price so I figured I would get a solid cpu to start of with.
I will also add 16gb more in the near future because I use the pc for work and a run alot of programs at once and have tons of browser pages open, some of them playing hd videos in the backgorund so I can listen to it while I work.

The only difference between an i7 and i5 is hyperthreading. There is not much use for this in your needs for a computer. It is more of a want then a need.16GB is still overkill. A 8GB ram will be still sufficient with that load.

Rebounding off what Suztera said, PERSONALLY, (If i were you) This build would look like

i5 4670K 240 USD
Hyper 212 Cooler 30 USD
GD65 Motherboard 190 USD
8GB DDR3 RAM 80 USD
SSD System Drive 130 USD
1TB HDD 60 USD
750 Watt PSU 80 USD
EVGA GTX 780 Ti 750 USD
Cheap-o DVD Drive to install OS 30 USD
Windows 8.1 80 USD
Fractal R4 100USD

And youre looking at ~ 1770 dollars. The machine will kill games longer and add the possibility of SLi in the future. Hell, the single 780 TI is stronger that dual 270X.

You would be surprised to see the difference more than 8GB of RAM makes... if you can find it outside of video editing software. Gaming and 10-13 programs open at a time? 8GB will be fine. And I'm talking about real programs, not background processes from Skype.

All prices from Newegg.

On an average day, I have about 10 web browser pages open sometimes one of these pages play 1080p video in the background., with skype, antivirus, photoshop and a couple of other programs all running at once.

I have some minor changes. You could change to the power supply to a XFX XTR 650 like i said before. You won't need a 780 Ti. It is way overkill and there is no point for his needs. A GTX 770 or R9 280x will still be sufficient. There is no point of going SLI. Only some want to play games at 4k so they have to go SLI. In the future, we will expect a single gpu to be able to power 4K gaming so no point of getting a 780 Ti

So 4770k cpu is not needed for me even though I am planning on doing some upgrades?
maybe going to a better motherboard, adding a sound card?

Also, I am big on performance and dont need lots of disk space on the pc.
isnt it better for me to get a SSD?
I thought hdd you picked is slower and I will never need 1tb. 250gb is more than enough. 500gb at the most

Look Nacho these people are right hold on and just go with what they are suggesting and save money. Wait till intel releases their 8 core processors, buy those and wait when there are that much graphic extensive games that will shame gtx 770 which they will not be able to then go buy nvidia Titan.

The motherboard you chosen is fine, you won't need a soundcard but thats a personal thing.
You don't have to get a HDD now. It kinda recommend to get a SSD now then buy a HDD if you run out soon. THat's if you are starting a fresh pc build.

I would accept the motherboard if you were really tight on budget, but you are not. That is really for you to decide to get new parts or used ones.
I would not really use a second-hand power supply. You don;t know that it has been through but generally it should be fine if it is a good quality. With you budget, you could stretch to a 80+gold power supply which is modular e.g. XFX XTR 650 (Yes I kinda hardselling this :D)

I think I am going to settle for 650 instead of 750 on power
what would be the best i5 cpu for me considering I dont want to give up on performance and dont mind paying 100 bucks more if it will make me happy.

i5 4670k with MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
OR
i5 4670 with a H81/87 motherboard of your choice.
