A DVD containing important files was working fine until I downloaded Windows 8.1. Now when I use the DVD it does not recognise that any files were on it. It is as though it is a blank disk. When I attempt to access files opened previously using the DVD on Adobe Reader it comes up saying that the disk is corrupted and unreadable. How can this happen after the Windows 8.1 upgrade? Is there anyway I can recover the files on the disk?
