What is the negative of a refurbished windows 7 and should I be suspicious of them?

I'm in need of a windows 7 disc for my new pc and have been looking all over the place. Most places are selling them for like £70/£80 but there is one for just £40 but it is refurbished. The website says they are an official distributor of refurbished windows 7 discs but I don't know if I should trust that. The website is called os-operating-system dotcom (don't know if I'm allowed to post lincs) if you want to check it out

Thanks for any help it's much appreciated!

I would not buy from the source you mentioned. I looked at it. Seems shady, at best. I would assume that you would likely receive an OEM DVD (like one intended for a Dell or HP) and it would not work. Others have fallen victim to similar offerings and if you dug around the forum you would fine many such cases.

Spend the extra money and get from a reliable source (would be my suggestion).

I have never heard of a "refurbished" operating system. If funds are tight now, but you can save up, download the ISO file. You will have 30 days to activate (register). Even after that, the OS is still usable. Just with limited features and no updates. You can purchase/activate at retail cost online when you are ready.
