So, I have this television called LG 42LV550W, Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD and DELL U2311H monitors.

My overall setup with screens is like so
-x-
xx

TV being on top and monitors on desk.
Up until now I've used two monitors with extended desktop (not duplication) and it works fine.

Recently I got a 5M HDMI cable to utilize my TV as well but for no avail.

AMD CCC claims I have to disconnect one of the two monitors to extend desktop on my TV (ergo having three monitors).

So I can only have two monitors at a time, but I want three.

AFAIK it should work.

I, too, have a setup of 2x DVI and 1x HDMI (HDMI for TV) but I cannot get it to work, not even with Eyefinity.

Any help would be appreciated on the matter.

Hi there, I can only speak from my own experience but it seems that not all of the 280x range can run 3 monitors without using an active adaptor. I have an Asus R9 280x (model DC2-3GD5) that DOES require you to connect an active adaptor. Maybe try one out and see if that solves your problem.

Not one that I could find at least.

Is there anyone who could shed some light into this?
Can I perhaps offer more information?

I'd just like to be able to solve this.
If nothing else get a confirmation it's my TV for instance that is unable for task I want it to perform.

I'm not an active member of the community, so didn't check back here for quite some time.
However that sounds like best path to go with this, kudos.
