Hello, I am currently using windows 7 and i am having problems adjusting my mic volumes.
In the properties tab where you can adjust the mic level and boost i cannot change the mic level, it actively resets to zero ( wont let me wet it to any other level and apply its stuck at zero.) I have the allow "allow applications to take control of this device" disabled in the advanced tab and on the micarray tab i have it set to disabled.

I do believe i have realtek, looking right now to see if anything is overriding the windows settings. My mic does not have an off/on switch its just a simple stand mic. I was using ventrilo when it happened, randomly all of a sudden my mic had no volume.

EDIT
No sorry i have VIA high definition audio and the Mic is set to 0 in that as well and i cant adjust the levels either.

I also have VIA HD audio and I have the exact same issue on windows 8.1. Every time I try to adjust my mic levels in the Via software or windows, it resets itself to 0.

EDIT: I simply uninstalled my Via HD Audio drivers and that did the trick. Maybe I'll reinstall them later, but for now I don't see the point.
