Hello all,

Hoping for a little guidance on the best way of installing Windows 7 on my laptop's new SSD without a recovery or installation disc.

I managed to make recovery discs(though possibly not properly as they had some issues) but it is not being recognized by the boot protocol after changing the boot drive to the DVD in bios.

So I'm looking to go a different route. My old drive still works so I have access to a working Win7 OS but there are clearly issues with making the recovery discs and booting with them.

Asus G60vx
SSD is a Samsung 840Pro
Windows 7 Home

Thanks all!

Solution
You can try Cloning your hdd (option 1)
Or downloading a windows 7 ISO and creating a bootable usb with windows usb tool. (option 2)
