Hi, my name is Aloric! I recently just built my first computer, I was kinda on a budget build so I wanted to get a pretty decent computer for a good price. I've had my computer for about roughly 3 months now, and I have a huge worry problem so I am always checking my CPU temps using the program " Core Temp. " Now I started noticing that I was reaching 40-45 C while idle, witch is really scaring me because when I myself open Task Manager it said I'm using 0% of my CPU, and I'm currently a Youtuber atm, and when I render videos I tend to get really worried because at that point my CPU is reaching 55-65 C and at this point my OCD is driving me crazy and I don't want to render any videos, witch is quite bad for my channel! Anyways back to the topic, I would really just like to know if this is normal, or what because I've heard that you really don't want to go over anything such as 60C +! My CPU is a Intel i5 4670k Haswell. I am currently also running on a *Stock Cooler* from Intel. Also just purchased a Cooler Master 212 Evo, heard great things about this aftermarket cooler and would love some feed back! Please reply to me ASAP! Thank you for your time. - Aloric

You are fine those are not terrible temperatures. A 4670K should be under 80C load for sure 70C preferable.
The 212 should cool it down a little but the real advantage is that it can dissipate more heat than stock allowing OCing without raising your temperatures immediately.
I run my 4770K at 73C Prime95 load for my OC.
Should be fine. I believe Haswell's only start to throttle around 90C.

I'd try to keep it below 70C at all times just to prolong the life of the chip. The CM 212 Evo is a great performer, that will keep your chip nice and cool.

I wish you luck with the YouTube channel.
