What SSD should I buy?

My current specs are: FX 8320, Asrock 970 Extreme 3 R2.0, 6GB Ram, XFX DD 7870 Tahiti version, 1.5TB Western Digital HDD.

I'm thinking about the Crucial M500 240GB which is $140, or the Samsug 840 Evo 256GB; also $140.
If my current PC supports it should I buy 2 120GB SSDs and put them in RAID 0 to get 2x the performance? If so which ones? Or are there any better options?

Also is there a big benefit from having an SSD at all? I don't video edit, just play games.

Thanks for any help.

Not really gaming has never really been limited by the HDD. SSD do exactly what they are supposed to though they allow faster read/write by the computer speeding up the system and any tasks related to the drive.

In other words they aren't magic or necessary but they sure are nice.

No, not overhyped. If you use the PC for anything in addition to games, you will feel the difference. I would not build another main use PC without one.

If your PC is only a pseudo game console, the only real difference you'll probably see is level loading time.
