Hi I am just working on a dream pc build parts list for fun and I was wondering if there are any motherboards that support the Xeon E7 8890 and a good gpu like the gtx 770 or 780. Also is there any minimum memory requirement for the Xeon E7 8890 V2? Is something like the Asus Rampage IV Extreme compatible? Is 64gb memory enough?

Solution

I think it supports only Xeon E5-4600v2 CPU's, but why you need quad CPU system? there are not much programs which able to utilize more than two CPU's! If you want extreme PC I would recommend you that Asus Z9PE-D8 WS with two Xeon E5 2697v2 CPU's! Asus motherboard supports two Xeon's and quad...
Here you go

First motherboard is a server grade and second one is like server grade motherboard!
"WS" stands for "WorkStaion"!

That Asus Z9PE-D8 WS with two Xeon E5 2697 v2 sounds great. Does the Asus Z9PE-D8 WS also support xeon e7 cpu's or only e5? I am wondering because if it can use two xeon e7 8895 v2 it would be better, if it can't than 2697 v2 is also amazing!!!

Why would you want to run a single E7 8890 V2 you are paying a premium for 8 way support and not using it.
If you are going for the Dream PC why not go for Asus Z10PE-D16 and a pair of E5-2697 v3's with support for up to 1TB Ram
