I seem to be getting conflicting stories. Will the above mentioned card run 4 displays? It has 2x dvi 1x display port 1x hdmi. But I have read you cannot use more than 2 on the dvi/hdmi ports and 1 on the display port. Is this true?

Solution
Listed under his card, the last line under "system requirements":
Use of 3 or more displays with AMD Eyefinity technology requires a DisplayPort-capable panel or an AMD Eyefinity-validated dongle.
" Use of 3 or MORE".
I think the only way to be absolutely sure is simply call Sapphire. I am reasonably sure that with "active" adapters and or DP monitors which can be daisy chained that AMD's CCC will allow more than 3 monitors on this card. I was under the impression that you were right on the non-flex cards, but was corrected long ago by someone with a similar card and he insisted that with "active" adapters, his non-flex Sapphire card was running four monitors.

It doesn't appear that your model is a Sapphire "Flex" version. The Flex version will run three non-DP monitors without adaptors. If you have 2 monitors with a DP inputs and 2 that don't then you can run all four monitors without "active" adaptors. If you don't have any DP monitors then you simply need to buy a DP to DVI (or HDMI ) "active" adaptor and a HDMI to DVI ( or HDMI ) " active" adaptor. I use (2) Accell "active" adaptors on an old Sapphire 6950 flex card and use 5 monitors. The Accell adaptors are on Amazon for $30 each and are approved by AMD for Eyefinity.

I saw that model and it doesn't say "flex" anywhere. They would list "flex" as it is a selling feature. By the way, if you have or are going to purchase DP monitors, I am certain that a feature is that DP monitors can piggy back from one to the other, so if you only have one DP port on your GPU, as you do, you can still hook up two DP monitors to the one port, just make sure the DP models you buy have that feature.

3 for Eyefinity. You can still run a fourth monitor, for non-gaming purposes. I run 5! (3) 1080p for eyefinity, one 900p above the center monitor for my "messy desktop" and a 1080p plasma TV to the side. All will run as an extended desktop for non-gaming. I have sapphire flex card and 2 active adaptors.
